Our Unsung Heroes
Somalia is a nation labeled many things in its diverse history, to name but a few, Horn of Africa, Nation of Poets, The Great African Hope.. but what do we really know about Somali?
The University of Birmingham Somali Society and Hanoolaato present an opportunity to learn and celebrate our beautiful heritage. With special emphasis on our past heroes and inspiring poetry. We will discuss our unique sense of identity by taking a journey through the years to re-establishing a sense of the honour, dignity, respect, courage which have all defined our great nation and it's children. We aim to honour those personalities by continuing their legacy, all the while holding true to our strong Islamic faith.
